Perhaps an obvious observation:
It’s not “news” that Donald Trump is a misogynist, sexist man. What seems to have elevated his misogyny to the top of the news cycle wasn’t his misogyny, it was the perception that he attached Ted Cruz’s honor.
It’s not Trump’s misogyny that is most troublesome to me. It’s our collective perception of women as property, and our simultaneous tolerance of misogyny and obsession with male honor.
Though to be honest, that’s hardly news, either.
